I am a HUGE fan of Singapore Airlines or as I call it, SQ.  I love my country, the USA, but there is no airline in America that holds a candle to the professional service and airplanes of Singapore Airlines!  Seriously!  The airlines in the U.S. make me feel like I am part of the cargo class.  Sure, there are some that are better than others but there is not that “over-the-top” service in any of the American airlines that Singapore airlines does on a continual basis.  I wish I did not have to say that.  Personally, I think the unions in America have hurt / tarnished the type of superb service America had in the past.  Yes, unions were needed in the day but now they are just bloated “clients come second to the union” mentality.

When I fly internationally I fly Singapore 80% of the time.  I usually fly out of San Francisco and do an hour stop in Korea, Japan, or Hong Kong.  Then on the same plane head over to Singapore.  From Singapore I still fly on Singapore Airlines to Bali or Jakarta.  I also fly Cathy Pacific, Thai Airways, and Korean Air.

There are many reasons I love flying Singapore airlines.  Here are just a few:

*  Top notch service from start to finish

*  Polite and courteous flight attendants

*  Great food.  Tons of snacks and yes, ice cream!

*  Clean airplanes

*  Love their TV and movie selections

*  On time departures and arrivals

*  Side note – I love the Changi Airport in Singapore.  I stay at the Terminal 3 hotel to catch up on a few hours of Zs and great shower.  This way I am refreshed and ready to go on my next leg to my destination.   Plus, Changi airport has a lot of great restaurants and shops to entertain.  YES, they even have an Apple store!!
