I caught up with David in Bali through a great friend who graduated high school in 1986 with me from the Jakarta International School (JIS- http://www.jisedu.or.id ) in Jakarta, Indonesia. David graduated in 1987 from JIS and so we just missed each other. David decided to hang his hat in Bali, Indonesia. He owns and run his own scuba travel company right out of Bali. You can catch all the great dives he can take you on by going to his web site at http://www.bali-diving-bp.com. I have had the distinct honor to go on a great dive vacation with him last year in 2010 and now headed down to see David again on a 5 day trip to the Komodo islands with some of his friends this year, 2011.
One of the things I really enjoy about having David, http://www.facebook.com/blueplanetbali?sk=info#!/blueplanetbali, being my dive master is that he knows and shows you places that no other dive shop will take the time to show you because he looks at his job as a treasure chest of “gold” in the ocean to share with you. David is also a great underwater photographer and so he is not in a rush to get from A-Z but will chill for “hours” in one area to allow you to take as many pictures as you would like. David’s chilled out nature not only makes your vacation time more relaxed but also one where you will learn more about Balinese culture and things you may never have known about Bali.
Even though I was born and raised in Indonesia for 19 years David still teaches me new things about Bali and the other islands I never had a clue about. Well, all I can say in short is that you will be coming back to see David for Bali diving trips just like I have been doing.
Cheerio,
Diving Doug
