Indonesia!  My second home.  I love her.  Everything I love about her, except for the hot and humid weather.  But when it gets that hot I just go scuba diving to work up my appetite for some great Indonesian cuisine.   I can eat anywhere in Indonesia.  From the “five legged” carts off the side of the road to local hut (warungs) restaurants, to restaurants with and without air con.  Just give me an Indonesian dish and hot sauce with plenty of krupuk udang (shrimp crakers) and you have me at “let’s go eat!”

I also love Indonesian drinks.  From teh botol (tea in a bottle – but a little too sweet for me) to avocado juice (to die for if made correctly) and es campur (mixed shaved ice dessert) and at times a bir bintang (the Indonesian beer).  There are too many other things I like to eat and drink here to write about.  But for sure everything that says “Indonesian foods” (minus anything moving any any weird stuff like monkey brains and bear claws)) I adore.

Now I am starving for some Indonesian food!  Chow for now.  Starving Scuba Diving Doug
